The ISHA 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting offers a range of opportunities for delegates to network with peers.

A reception hosted at the Gothic City Hall by the City of Bruges on the evening prior to the start of the main Meeting.

Free of Charge for HCP Delegates
A welcome reception open to all delegates, to be held at the BMCC immediately after the end of the end of the scientific sessions on Day 1.
Gala Dinner

An enjoyable optional social evening at the Provincial Palace.
HIP Happens
Every evening from Wednesday 7 to Friday 9 October 2026 inclusive

Ticketed (EUR 20 per person, per night)
Open to Trainee / Resident / Fellow / Student registrants
Access to a dedicated networking bar close to the venue for trainees and early career professionals.
ISHA Social Ride
A Journey Through History, Hills, and Camaraderie – The Perfect Pre‑Congress Warm‑Up on Wednesday 7 October 2026
Cost: €45 per person (excl. bike hire and transport)
Distance: Approx. 100 km
Difficulty: The group will keep a steady enjoyable pace. However, the terrain is challenging, so a good basic fitness level and road cycling experience are required.
Equipment: Bring your own road bike or hire a bike (additional cost) through the registration link. Mandatory: helmet. Recommended: spare inner tubes/puncture kit and wind/rain jacket.
Timing: Full-day ride on 7 October, with start time of 11am in Ypres (exact timings shared directly with registered participants). Note that pre-conference session attendees and faculty will not be able to take part in this ride.
Transport: Transport to the starting point in Ypres (and back) available (additional cost) through the registration link.
